Description
Marlena is an acquaintance of Rob. Though she only met him a couple of times, she was at his going away party. It was there that she was practically harassed into recording a going away message for Rob, by Hud. Its quite clear that he has a crush on her. When the attack happens, on the streets Marlena claims that she saw Clover (the monster) eating people. She stays with the group when they go to get Beth

Marlena is very much dead. While walking through the dark subway tunnels, the group is attacked by parasites that had fallen off of Clover. Marlena is the only one to be bitten by one of the creatures. When the group is taken to a military medical set-up, Marlena is shown saying she doesn’t feel well. Blood is by then, seeping from her eyes. One of the military doctors yells that they have a bite and Marlena is dragged behind a screen/tarp where we can see her silhouette. Her stomach expands and she seemingly explodes. (Blood splatters onto the screen/tarp) From what we gather, it seems that when you are bitten by one of the parasites then you simply explode.
